സിൽവർ, പേൾ, കോറൽ, റൂബി... ആനിവേഴ്സറികളുടെ വിളിപ്പേരുകൾ അറിയാമോ?

ഒരു സ്​കൂൾ വിദ്യാർഥിയുടെ സംശയം ഇതായിരുന്നു. എെൻറ അച്ഛൻ നടത്തുന്ന സ്​ഥാപനത്തിെൻറ 30ാം വാർഷികമാണ്. എന്ത് Jubilee എന്നാണ്​ അതിനെ വിളിക്കേണ്ടത്? ഇതായിരുന്നുചോദ്യം. പ്രത്യേകതയുള്ള വാര്‍ഷികത്തെയാണ് Jubilee എന്നു വിളിക്കുന്നത്.

എന്നാൽ, പ്രത്യേക വാർഷികാഘോഷങ്ങൾ ആകുമ്പോൾ നാം അത്തരം ദിവസങ്ങളെ Jubilee എന്നുവിളിക്കുന്നു. 50 വർഷം തികഞ്ഞതിെൻറ ആഘോഷങ്ങളുമായി ഇസ്രായേലിൽ ഏകദേശം 123 ബി.സിയിലാണ​െത്ര Jubilee എന്ന പദം ഉപയോഗിച്ചുതുടങ്ങിയത്.

ഹീബ്രൂ ഭാഷയിലെ 'യോബേൽ' എന്ന പദത്തിൽ നിന്നാണ്​ Jubilee ഉണ്ടായത്.
