രണ്ട് ചിത്രം കൊണ്ട് തെലുങ്കിലും ആരാധകരുടെ കൈയ്യടി നേടിയിരിക്കുകയാണ് മലയാളത്തിന്‍റെ നടന വിസ്മയം ലാലേട്ടൻ. ജനതാ ഗാരേജ് റിലീസ് ചെയ്ത് ദിവസങ്ങൾ കഴിയുമ്പോൾ തെലുങ്ക് ആരാധകരെല്ലാം ലാലേട്ടനെ പുകഴ്ത്തുകയാണ്. ഇനി ലാലേട്ടൻ മലയാളം മറന്ന് തെലുങ്കിൽ സജീവമാകുമോ എന്ന ആശങ്കയിലാണ് മലയാളികൾ. ജൂനിയര്‍ എൻ.ടി.ആറിനൊപ്പം മോഹന്‍ലാല്‍ കേന്ദ്രകഥാപാത്രമായ ജനതാ ഗാരേജ് നാല് ദിവസം കൊണ്ട് 100 കോടി ക്ലബിൽ ഇടം പിടിച്ചു.

ജനതാ ഗാരേജ് സംവിധായകന്‍ കോരട്‌ലാ ശിവയുടെ മുന്‍ചിത്രം ശ്രീമന്ദുഡുവിന്‍റെ ബോക്‌സ് ഓഫീസ് ആദ്യദിന റെക്കോര്‍ഡും ജനതാ ഗാരേജ് തകര്‍ത്തു. സര്‍ദാര്‍ ഗബ്ബാര്‍ സിംഗ്, സരൈനോടു എന്നീ ചിത്രങ്ങളെയും ജനതാ ഗാരേജ് പിന്നിലാക്കി. ബാഹുബലിക്ക് ശേഷം ഏറ്റവും വേഗത്തില്‍ അമ്പത് കോടി പിന്നിടുന്ന ചിത്രം കൂടിയാണ് ജനതാ ഗാരേജ്.

 ജനതാ ഗാരേജിലെ മോഹൻലാൽ–ജൂനിയർ എൻടിആർ കോംബിനേഷൻ ഏറെ ആസ്വദിച്ചുവെന്ന് സംവിധായകൻ രാജമൗലി ട്വിറ്ററിൽ കുറിച്ചിരുന്നു. കൊരട്ടാല ശിവ സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത ചിത്രത്തിൽ സമാന്തയാണ് നായിക. റഹ്മാന്‍, ഉണ്ണി മുകുന്ദന്‍, ദേവയാനി, സായ്കുമാര്‍, നിത്യ മേനോന്‍ എന്നിവരാണ് ചിത്രത്തിലെ മറ്റ് താരങ്ങള്‍. ദേവി ശ്രീ പ്രസാദാണ് സംഗീതം നിര്‍വഹിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്.
